We at Screeze respect your privacy and promise to never sell the information you entrust with us. You as the owner of your information will always have control over the information given to us. Most of the information you share with us is private by defualt, although there are exceptions. We try our hardest to ensure any exceptions are made clear to you and make it easy to change the status of any information you want made private or public.
We will collect some sensitive information from you if you opt to register on this site. Such sensitive information can contain your name, email address, age, or gender. This information may be made publicly available to others on a "profile page". However, you will always have the option to hide such information. Furthermore, if for any reason you wish to have all of the information Screeze may have collected on you removed from our databases you may send a request to RemovalRequests@screeze.com with the email address that you currently have on record with your account. After verifying your ownership of the account we will gladly remove any and all data collected on your account. This process may also be used for removal of specific pieces of information we may have stored about you but may not have an easily accessible tool to make private. Please note that however, posts are exempt from removal as well as username and IP address, and we may keep this data at our discretion.
From time to time Screeze may automatically or by action of the staff of Screeze send email messages to the address you have on file. You may opt out of receving these messages in the User Control Panel, by changing the desired options related to email. Automated post notifications and messages from Screeze staff may be limited separately. Granular control may be provided for either option at our discretion.
If you register on Screeze through an external service(ex. Windows Live, Facebook, Twitter) or connect your existing Screeze account with an external service we will store certain data from your chosen service. We will obtain certain information from the service that allow us to identify your account on the external service and link it to your Screeze account. Normally this information is a string or multiple strings of numbers and or letters but it may also be a username, email, or anything else deemed by Screeze to be suitable to identify your account as unique from the others. Also note that if you have registered with Screeze through Facebook prior to April 26th, 2010 we may have a special email address from Facebook on file for your account. This email address is used in place of your actual one by Facebook to preserve your privacy. We cannot use this special email adress unless you allow us to and the special email address is removed from our records if you ever disconnect your Facebook account. Information shared with us from an external service may be stored after disconnection of your accounts if this information is deemed necessary to retrieving your account back if ever desired. Any other information not deemed necessary is removed after disconnection.
Screeze utilizes several messaging services in order to enhance user experience. Any information transferred through these messaging services may be stored indefinately and may also be interecepted. Messages sent through these services will only be made accessible by Screeze to the account that created the message, the account specified as the message's recipient, and the owners and staff of Screeze.
We may share certain information given to us with third parties that we allow to perform user authentication against the ScreezeID user service. Such information may include username, email address, birth date, avatar image, and more. When a service other than Screeze or its subsidiaries attempts to authenticate you against the ScreezeID user service you will be presented with the exact information the service is requesting to retrieve from you and you may allow or deny the request at that point. At this time privacy settings set on Screeze do not extend to ScreezeID and the only control given is the initial allow or deny with no granularity. However, ScreezeID using services are required to allow you to disconnect your ScreezeID with their system, which will remove all data shared with them by Screeze, with the exception of User ID number at the service's discretion.
